Hi friends! Once upon a time, one of my dear friends was pregnant. Me being a proper crocheter I decided to gift a handmade baby blanket for that family. I got three colors: gray, blue and pink. I picked the softest stitch I could make, started crocheting bottom up, while waiting for that little surprise to be born. Little mister was born healthy, and I was able to make that turquoise heart in the middle. Of course I wasn’t able to give the family this blanket for their baby shower, or right after birth, but it was all worth is in the end. I’ve made this blanket 34 x 35 inches, the little mister will be able to use his blankie for a while.
The baby blanket turned out so soft and cuddly. And if it wasn’t obvious already how much a new baby is loved, this heart in the middle spells it out.
I wrote down a pattern for those who have a little baby in their family or among their friends, that is so loved and adored that a Heart Baby Blanket is needed. I hope you enjoy the pattern. Even beginners will be able to follow these directions.

Thank you for a great post!! Love the step-by-step instructions!!
How do you change colors for the hear? Do you just keep the string going any tie off at the top of the heart?
Heart not hear! And tie off?
